I'm after a bit of help with paint codes guys- does anybody know the code for the cream coloured panel the bonnet latch is mounted on? Also the correct paint code for a set of 1.9 alloys

Thanks

I don't think anyone has ever come up with a code for the slam panel beige colour, some people have had paint made up to match old slam panels but that's it.

Speedlines are apparently EVE.

I went down to see the painter today and he's a bit concerned that the red isn't the right colour. Im sure its correct but I may be wrong - what does everyone think from the picture evidence?

It doesn't look wrong to me but it would have to be very wrong to show in digital photos.

I've got a slam panel you can borrow to match BTW.

its because it doesn't match the red anywhere on the interior and looks nothing like the slightly orange red when it rocked up in the workshop. Im pretty confident its correct

As we are planning all the paint now I was looking through MrFirePro's restoration thread -  im wondering how the grey trim paint worked out- as pictured in the image below:

Hours spent on the floor pan and interior. All rubbed down then coated in a  truck liner to stop any chance of rust. Shell painted less the attachable panel. Next stop is panels on and the outer to be painted in a single hit.

If you're running 15" wheels what axle mounts are you fitting? I've been told there might be 1.6 mounts fitted to mine which is why the rear wheel is close to the back bumper and the 1.9 has diffent mounts that allow the 15" wheels to sit further fowards

I've absolutely no idea. It's all completely standard, whatever was taken off has just been cleaned up , serviced and powder coated and will be refitted. I can only suggest you look on servicebox and see if there's any difference between a 1.6and 1.9
