Over the weekend so far I have done another base coat and two coats of lacquer to my tailgate. Finish was ok but colour match isn't great. Damn you Cherry red!!

Fitted my new tailgate panel. It's a Imperial one and it fits like a glove, I highly recommend them.

Wrong car mate. The Cherry has been rebuilt using pattern parts and good second hand parts. The collection of 205 bits you kindly supplied me are for the Sorrento.

Got my MIG down from my parents, and received the new hose for the argoshield bottle, so now ready for action.

Started to repair the wheel arch/ bulkhead area beneath the master cylinder - hard going trying to neatly remove the rot back to the good stuff.

Bought some 1.0mm mild steel which is proving to be much more workable than the 1.2mm I had.

Onwards!

Finished prepping the engine bay and underside for paint, and took the plunge as it was a warm still evening. Really pleased with the results, final bit of the puzzle, which meansthe front end can start going back together, so I can pull the rear end to bits.

Thanks. Put the 2 ends together and we would have 1 good car between us!

My think my beam will look as good as yours. I haven't got the funds to rebuild it yet, but if I can the rest to a similar standard il be well happy.

Received Driving Light Protectors from cRaig. Thank you.

Covered with yellow sticky back plastic.

Not sure if I like them or not.

I'll give it a while and may save up for the original yellow glass ones.

Is this on your red one with the new slatted panel? If so, have you got any pics?
