Worth checking.

When I took the holder out the water appeared at the sunroof handle end.

However, there is no water on the handle or no obvious drips within the roof.

I will at least wrap the receiver in a sealed plastic bag.

Checked and thankfully it's dry but the next time we get a dry day I'll be adding a dab of PU sealant to be safe!

Hope you trace the leak bud.

Are the new fuel clips still available through peugeot?

Yes, not expensive either, 80p each or something like that, you need 6 but they come individually.

Found the wire for my oil temperature gauge.

It was plugged into the water temperature warning light. Swapped it onto the water temperature sensor and up went the oil temp gauge on the dash.

Happy days!

Cut it, found a length of cable and connected it to the sensor on the sump.

Then nothing. Went for a blast up the local A road and the needle did not move a single millimetre.

Bugger!

Started it for the first time in 6 months. Fired up first time :) (after cranking it to build up oil pressure obviously)

How far did you go? It can take a long time of sustained high speed to start moving.

Drove it for and hour so before the 'fix'.

Once connected ragged it for about 20 mind. Not a flicker.

I'll leave and see how I go on a longer run.

Although, I doubt my crimper skills are as good as yours Kieran. ;)

20 mins probably isn't long enough TBH. However if it is totally dead feel free to come over some time and I'll get to the bottom of it...

I will attach the new wire I have put on back to the water temperature sensor.

That will show if I have crimped ok.

If there is still no movement it may mean dead sensor in the sump.

I'll keep the offer in mind Kieran.

Cheers.

No, thats how the new pipe comes from Peugeot, with a kind of black plastic coating on it.

Taxed and tested after hibernation.

After driving practical, comfortable cars for several months it's made me realise how bad the road surfaces are out there

I was soon reminded how much attention the car attracts from people trying to push you on or attempt a traffic light Grand Prix.
