Turns out the top engine mount was loose aswell on my mates 205. I think someones trying to kill him.

He gave me a 20 crate of Stella for helping him with the motor :)

Mines back on road :D :D

Its lasted longer than a day so far!

It pulls well better than the last, going to run it in for another 150 miles

That's good news - are you running standard injection or TBs?

My personal taste says ditch the bonnet pins, not sure on the splitter, it makes the car look lower but it is a bit chav.

I've just got some aerocatches from my mate, only a set though got to shell out £45 for another set

Theres no mounting points for the OE hinges otherwise I would of used them.

Cheers for the comments, going to whip it off at the weekend and see what it looks like...

Andy: No mate, changed the fronts to 1.9 hubs and it's a 309 beam on the back :D

Get the catches that go on top of the top rather than underneath. I got them mixed up, and got the underneath versions which are a twat to fit. Had to fit them as I was off to the 'Ring in the next few days, and the marshalls there are getting funny with bonnet pins.

Think I saw your mate at Halfords Winnersh a couple of days ago, red 205, tidy bodywork and paint.

Yeah thats him mate, giving another overhaul this weekend.

I don't know who's had their hands on it in the past but there's loads of thing that need doing!

Going to have a go at T-cutting the paintwork at the weekend, going to take hours....

I'll take note of that mate about the aero catches.

Why are they getting funny about it at the 'ring?

Took the wheel off my car yesterday, to raise the front suspension a bit.

Both coilovers are now leaking like niagra falls.....

I think someone is trying to teach me not to buy second hand parts.

So they cost me £250 for the struts, £10 for new spring seats and now a rebuild on both....

I'm NEVER going on 306gti6.com again! Full of c*nts selling f*cked goods!

AVO Shocks Dan.

I'm currently in the process of speaking to them about getting them rebuilt.

So far the prices and service have been brilliant.

Nowhere near expensive as I thought it would be! :)

Just trying to track down 1 of several annoying rattles in the car, I think its the rear fog/reverse lights. Bit of duct tape around the mounting points should do.

You'll have no problems with AVO, they are very very helpful, speak to Nigel and he will get them turned round for you quickly, I've had rear damper adjusters repaired there FOC and can't speak highly enough of them.

Ive had a problem with AVOs leaking prematurely in the past so it may be a genuine problem rather than someone bumping them onto you on the '6 forum. Sounds like their service is second to none though so happy days!

As said, Avo's are quite common to spring leak's not just on Pug's either, But as said the turn around is spot on so they must be used to it

That sums Avos up, they'll break but they'll fix them.

They've quoted my £50 each to rebuild them and new rods.

£10 + vat to return them.

Ain't too bad really.

The bloke who sold them to me, said they had been sat on a car for a few years. Only after I handed the money over he said that the car was sat in a field.

They were rusty as fook when I got them and the previous owner had used mole grips to loosen the top nut off.

And one of the adjusters was threadless at the bottom .... grrr

Getting a bit bored of the power :P

What next?

Cam/s?

S/C :)

Throttle Bodies?

Crank conversion?

All of the above minus throttle bodies :P

I am seriously considering a S/C conversion, would be awesome ;)

Just won't be buying it off 306 gti6.com as I always get f*cked over!

Getting to the point now where petrol is going to be going in the window, instead of the filler and a match is going to be following it.

Where to start....

Gearbox is about to blow up

Need a new exhaust

Rear beam has come loose

Need to get my coilovers rebuilt

Brakeline is on the verge of splitting, kept getting caught on the inside of the tyre, 2 tyres are now fuct. Miles I need a new one !

Four new tyres needed

Alternator bracket snapped and i'm going to opt for the XSI?! (can someone correct me) mounting bracket.

And a wierd knocking noise when i back off after accelerating, loose subframe maybe?

I'm skint and have the MOT coming up in three weeks.... Great
