Jackman
it isnt fast at the moment, missing an engine

It'll have and engine by this weekend, Daniel!

Just a small update!

Did intend to smash the car this weekend, but i've gotta go to France with work now, so thats all out the window! Plus the weather is s*ite!

Had a few bits sprayed up by my friend Matt @ Spraytek!

Engine mount, Gloss black to tie up with a few other bits!

And my coilpack cover on my new JP4 Rockers

I get back from France Wednesday, so hopefully a few bits i'm waiting for will have turned up and the engine can go back in next weekend!

Quick update from yesterdays progress.

Wolze kindly came round and slapped the car back togeather in the time we had!

Intention was to fit the engine, but we didn't realise how much we had to do to get all the subframe back togeather and on!

After a trip to the nuts and bolt shop we were ready to rock!

Subframe fitted

309 arms fitted

GTi Anti Roll bar fitted

New balljoint bolts fitted

Just need to get new drop links and connect them up!

Can't find the lead to my camera so used my iPhone quickly!

It's all back down on 4 wheels now and turned round so we can pull it in the garage if needed!

Refitted my engine mount with nice new bolts lol!

Also got new bolts for the rocker covers and bolted them down!

Finally!

Wolze came round to do the big drop tonight!

After a bolting a few bits back togeather and some faffing around we got it on the hoist and ready to rock.

With the help from a few friends, we managed to get it in with minimal scratches to the bay lol!

Still can't find my camera lead, so iPhone for now sorry!

Can't explain the joy i feel right now lol!

Only downer was that my freshly painted coilpack cover doesnt fit under the bonnet! So its been taken off for now until i can figure something out!

Massive thanks to Wolze for a super job again! And to Beefy and the gang for a helping hand !

Looks Perfect in there! I remember seeing you and the car at llandow, which must be a year and a half ago and then i had a soft spot for it. Now its a different league! You should be very proud mate. Fair play

Alot gone on lately! Car is almost ready to rock!

The inside is all wired up and we trimmed my dash down to the bare minimum for now until i can decide what to do for definite!

DSC04560.jpg

Most the engine stuff is back on, all water pipes etc! Just need to mount the rad and then she can be fired up!

This weekend could be the time!

So...

Thanks to Wolze today, a big chunk was hit out of the car!

All the wiring is finished off, Water system plumbed in near enough, and rigged in a fuel system!

Sandy also kindly sent me a base map which is loaded up to my KMS now!

DSC04575.jpg

All seemed well and ready to fire up! But a broken injector and a problem with the fuel setup cut this short!

So until i can find another injector we are on a bit of a hold!

Apart from that the car should be off for mapping very soon!

Nice sound !

What kind of driveshafts you want to fit ? Orginal from 205 or this from 309 with TU engines ? This from 309 are 1cm longer than this from 205.

If i had updates Dan i'd happily give them! Not touched the car for quite some time now! Apart from moving it off axle stands and onto 4 wheels in the garage lol!

I'm hoping to get back on it soon!

Little bit more done today !

Cleaned out the inside and hovered up all the s*it from 7 months of being sat!

fc230242.jpg

Then chucked the drivers seat back in! And fitted the harness!

d289c6ec.jpg

Also put most of the brake lines back on!

Most of the stuff is back on the bay now, so it will look alot like this for FCS! Will be a bit tidier once we know everything is back in!

c7cbe9c8.jpg

I've ordered a new set of DS2500 today, so just need discs and the brakes can go back on and its back on the ground and almost ready for MOT!

Another effort from the big man tonight!

Fuel system tidied up - No pictures sorry!

Throttle Cable fitted !

5fd95d0b.jpg

Wosp Performance Slimline Fan purchased from Peter Lloyd on route home!

84773f21.jpg

Just waiting on ties to mount it to the rad!

Throttle pot is also wired in, which pretty much completes the wiring!

So aiming to get it in for MOT next week now !

Sooooo...

Tonight the final wiring was complete! The fan is now fully wired in and working.

Wolze wired it to a override switch aswell just incase ;)

4a081df6.jpg

Also a spring has been attached to the throttle bodies to bring it back to fully shut as they kept sticking open ever so slightly!

And finally....It's a car again!

Small updates.

Thanks to Durham and his mighty drill and bits, Wolze drilled out the blank prof green kindly handed me and mounted my gauges !

88dca711.jpg

Wolze also took my vent to work and mounted my fan override switch which works a treat !

5711861c.jpg

Then lastly Wolze created me a makeshift washer bottle after I lost patience with my last one and ended up ripping it out the car !

4816b357.jpg

With a bit of luck it will be MOT'd tomorrow !

Bonjour.

Today I started to clean the guts off the Rallye as its insanely dirty even after washing it twice!

So me and Mr Green set about Clay baring the whole car, then i went round with some Meguairs paint cleaner!

Its not looking to bad now, still much work to do though!
