I thought it was your car but never got the chance to come over and by time we walked back down to quarry every one had gone! (we had to wait till 5.30 so james could pick up a gearbox!)

4pm brown blimey what a mare you must have been just in time to see the micra roll and then the 205 / evo collide in the next session just out of quarry!

I was up with the Magenta lot (RWD T16 kitted 205 + carbed 1.9) before and after the unfortunate coming together

God knows how they rolled the micra though!

left at 6.20

it was quite interesting seeing so many people looking at the 309, I guess not many know its history/heritage, left a brochure on the dash in the windscreen.

never got a chance to come over and look at your Rallye

Right sorry about the delay, but here we go!

Well on Friday I ventured down to Cornwall to visit Sandy and collect the car!

The first drive was insane, but the second was better once Sandy showed me how to rev it properly lol!

Got the car home with no issues and surprisingly decent on fuel! I took it to Combe yesterday aswell and the light came on at 334 miles!

I'm far from a photographic genius, but i borrowed my brothers SLR and slapped these togeather. Got a bit dark and wet towards the end!

And the best of the new manifold i could get! Its alot tighter to the subframe and much better made than before!

Just a huge thanks to both Colin and Sandy for the work that went into the car!

Super duper chuffed to bits with the car, but now for the boring bit.

I don't actually really have any real power figures as it was showing up crap results on the rollers for a reason Sandy can't put a finger on. Its like the brakes are on and holding the wheels back, but they aren't. Sandy says the wheels seem pretty hard to turn, so i'll have to investigate!

I'm sure Sandy can explain this better if he reads, but he said he worked something out another way to do with the injectors and it was showing 170-174bhp! (Please correct me if i'm wrong Sandy!)

I'm going to a rolling road day at the start of next month, so see what happens there!

Comments and Criticism welcome!

have you changed the master cylinder at all?

could be the clearance between the rod in the servo and the plunger of the master cylinder if the brakes feel like they're on.

I've not changed it, but it was taken off when the bay was sprayed!

Anythings worth a look atm!

On was on the other side of the circuit when the action happened Dan! Shame I didn't see you.

Figures wise it didn't make sense, everything seemed right and it was a bit down at the wheels on what I'd expected. The injector duty suggests around 170-174 flywheel, but the wheels figures suggest about 160-164 flywheel! I knocked back the brake pads and ran it up like that, assuming it might be the pedal issue, but it was the same. Turning a wheel the diff felt tight (ATB), compared to what I'm used to, but I just don't know really! It drives really well though.

Out of interest where is your windscreen washer bottle!?

Can i also be a bit cheeky and ask what you did about the 106 gti top radiator hose not fitting the 205 radiator? Did you keep the heat exchanger?

I've fitted the 106 gti engine into my Xs and made a hose up using the 106 rad hose and some copper fittings but i'm not 100% happy with it and just wondering what others have done.

Rallye is looking great too Jackman, well done, some great work on it! <_<

So after a trip to Coventry and back today I now own a set of Polycarb windows!

Meet up with James around 10.30 and set around doing the swap for the bits he needed and then slammed the polycarbs into my car.

Few hours, some swearing and 2 smashed windows later...

What a great car!!

Do you have any idea how much weight you carved out of the doors. I´m thinking of dooing it myself but always delay it as I keep telling myself it is not worth the efford.

Is it 10 kg or more?

How does the doors feel after the weight reduction?
