As I'm keeping the original stereo in my laser green car, and I own no cassettes, I went on ebay and decided that some period cassettes would be quite fun to have with the car!

So far I've spent the grand sum of about 3 quid on "INXS- Kick" and "SEAL" !!!!

Any other suggestions for 1991 music?!?

Now albums from the period would be ideal. Petshop boys, roxette, queen to name a few

I'd be inclinded to have the single which was number 1 within the week your car was registered.

Which I believe in your case would have been 'The Stonk' - by Hale and Pace until Chesney Hawkes topped the number 1 spot for 5 weeks with 'The one and only'.

Removed the PTS graphic grille that I've had fitted for the last 9 months are refitted my old plain Miami Blue one. The sodding fixing screw on the driver side was pretty seized in with rust but it finally came out :)

Then realised after doing that, that the grille was now the cleanest (read as bluest) part of the car - time to get a detailer in methinks :)

Drove it around.

Filled it with petrol.

Cleaned and small bit of detailing, ready for the FOS on Sunday.

Swapped the Citroen remote button from my plipper.

Peugeot replacement had an extra knobbly bit which was pressing down keeping the power on.

Shaved off and fitted.

Originally from a BX Estate.

Got it with a receiver from eBay.

I can't even remember the last time I saw a BX estate. Still see the occasional saloon, 405's are more abundant but aren't a common site anymore

Finished fitting a new clutch cable. There's still a small creak (which I am now thinking is likely to be engine mounts...) but the clutch action is now smoother - it made quite a difference.

Found out why it was running "a bit lean" - the hose from the AFM to inlet manifold was perished at the bottom where you can't see it. So I fitted a replacement.

Then re-routed the SAD air pipes so they don't scrape against the clutch release lever (thanks garage monkeys whoever did that...) and whilst down there, took off and cleaned up the SAD... because I am.

...and finally fitted a new O ring on the distributor. When I called Peugeot to get one I was about to quote the number from Servicebox when the parts guy read it out to me from memory ("We used to sell a lot", he said, "but no so many these days". So I bought the three they had in stock)

Put it all back together and gave it a good run over the Wiltshire Downs.. Ran like a dream. Happy days!!

Finally finished replacing my entire front suspension, bilstein shocks, genuine bushes in my wishbones, steering rack track rods and rod ends, new gear link rods, baker bm gearbox mount and rear engine mount bush which set me back a day due to having to sort out a snapped stud in the block.

Only took me a week  and what an absolute bitch the power steering rack is to connect to the uj when your laid under the car.

Since I have had the car the boot courtesy light has been hanging out due to broken clip.

Had my tracking done today and the print out is a little alarming. All front suspension components are brand new, shockers, strut bearings and rubbers, drop links, peugeot wishbone bushes, rear solid engine mount bush and greabox mount from baker bm, new track rods and rod ends on the rack, even 4 new driveshaft boots.

The guy said my beam is fine, its within spec at least. Now I have all the parts to rebuild the beam so i'm not so worried about that, what I am a little bothered about though is the front camber with brand new struts, its only just out of spec.

Anyone got any idea what could be the issue causing this camber on the front nearside?

Rear beam looks in on the piss.

Front camber is probably out of tolerance parts/shell. They weren't good with tolerances as far as I've seen....

You will get uneven tyre wear.

All this can be worked out given time, its just a pain.

He said its 2mm difference on the beam and no need to worry about that, i'm just concerned about that red value on the front, they are bilstein struts and febi bilstein strut bearings and rubbers.

I would want it correct, the back is in the red too.

Your back wheels are pointing in different directions, yes its 2mm but all on one wheel...
