Any updates? The cam looks serious, mine is over 300 deg but that one looks massive compared to mine!

haha, routers playing up so havnt been on much! Hows does the cam drive? What pistons and rods / induction are you using?

As for update, got a xsara vts early 2.4 rack, so been sorting that out:

cleaned it all up

387812_10150436064684330_509954329_8449402_57652964_n.jpg

got new rod ends on and cut the ends down a touch

392238_10150436064894330_509954329_8449404_525936929_n.jpg

welded up the original PAS fluid fittings as plugs and put them back in after the clean up

381035_10150436064454330_509954329_8449401_2144330909_n.jpg

then shoved it on the car :)

next job is mounting the reservoirs and getting the cage in before xmas

Cheers,

Al

Cam drive lovely, not much below 3000rpm but after that the torque is huge and really punchy! I love it but will probably go wilder late next year for more power. Im using 1.9 crank and rods all balanced, 1.6 pistons again balanced, lightened flywheel, arp bolts, twin 45 dcoes, magnex 4-1 mani with 2 1/4" straight through system and a magnex 2" back box. I love the engine and the way it drives just having issues with carbs at the mo :(

haha, sounds good mate! You need some ITB's then =p I gave up with carbs after my 1425cc A series that was on a 45 dcoe, seasonal jetting is a nightmare! I've got 3 of these camshafts and should be getting a few sets of fairly special pistons made up to cope with the valve lift and revs... so give me a PM if your interested pal :)

sounded good tho!

its not all boring dyno... theres a driveoff at the end, lol

Will go to bodies at the end of next year i expect, when funds allow. At the moment to have the engine run at its potential will be good enough, god knows ive spent so much money and time looking for faults this year just want to use it and upgrade suspension before looking at more power again. Thanks for the offer though. What size valves are you going for?

okey doke, +1 on inlets, std exh, should be able to get away with just that and many many hours of porting the short side radius, lol! Comfortably over 200bhp and im happy.

"Bare" should be a new technical term, in the same realms as QT and FT.

Bare movement

Bare torque

Bare deltaP

...oh the possibilities!

picked up my rollcage on wednesday :) saftey devices one, second hand, looks all good. Also whilst I was there the chap (who was breaking his rally car) had a refurbished steering UJ (square fitment...) with no play in it, so picked that up for £15.... just sayin ;) lol.... ^_^

Now have to decide whether do go to the unit tonight and start on the cage... or to to and drink cheap jagerbombs in leamington all night wake up with a head full of shame and regret....
