Looks like an OMP, 2 spoke version of my Corsica wheel. Don't know the name of it though.

Cheers for that, been looking at some wheels for a while and had no idea what dish I wanted. That looks perfect though.

Thanks!

Actually it was 90mm dish.

On the off chance I was looking on ebay I found it, second hand ok the suede wears but its not that bad!

when the rally drivers use them they where gloves and the grip from suede gloves on a suede steering wheel is really good. but I think I would look a tit driving to work with race gloves on.

The two spoke ones are fairly delicate, my mate has one in his 205 and it has developed play where the spokes are attached to the rim, I think its from leaning on it while climbing in over the door bars.

Get karting gloves. You can get ones that are much shorter and dont look so stupid. The wear usually is because of sweat and skin oils spoiling the suede

Lots of coursework to be done all jan so had to get a move on as a deadline was coming for the car moving out.

Bit more work done some quick shots that I managed to get while working on it.

Looking back at the photo's it looks like I got f*** all done since tuesday but its all the small bits that aren't worth posting pictures about or double checking things.

Gave it a quick blast and it felt great, can't wait to get in it for real, strapped in and out on the circuit. Bring on testing!

P.S. yes the back is lower than the front, and currently working on some dampers for it.

Looks like a nice clean and well put together build :)

Can you tell me where you got your bumpers from? I'm about to order a set myself but can't decide whether any of the after market ones are any good or not.

Seen them for around £22 bare or £35 with the red strip, which seems a lot cheaper than £70ish from Autofive or even £100+ from pug!

I paid £90 without strips and they seem to be a good quality pretty good match so far, from a company Swordfish120 recommended to me in swindon called Auto Panels Western.

Guess this becomes [Race_Prep] now i've got my race license?

Been working flat out since 2nd of this month so got a bit of money coming in, my pay is doubled if we win with the customer im working for tomorrow and im pretty confident with the new engine! Hopefully by the end of the month if I don't get caught up with going freelance I can buy some dampers for this baby and get on with getting it out for my 21st birthday rather than my other option of a different car.

Hopefully get some progress soon!

This arrived -

th_DSCN3557.jpg

I've got all my kit, overalls, helmet, boots, gloves so technically Im all ready bar a transponder.

Bought a Tran-X diff of Whizzer71, thanks again! Will be replacing my brand new Quaife that never even came close to being put in a gearbox, will be for sale this weekend.

DSCN3549.jpg

Also in my busy schedule I found a couple of spare minutes on the lathe so have started to make the adjustable front arb links. Bit oversized on the joints, and not the most amazing bit of engineering on earth but it should do the job pretty damn good.

DSCN3554.jpg

Waiting on a few contacts to get back to me with deals they can do me on a set of dampers, do I get a set of quantum blacks I cant decide! Also got a revised sketch of front uprights ready to put into Solidworks when I get a spare couple of hours to finalise measurement's and bearings.
