Nothing for a while, few issues with family and friends health lately meant it's taken a back burner and may as well just go out of the way, will build a new one at some point later on hopefully.

No idea where that is from, is that a super charger though? Jag?

Looks like a k20 engine, m90 or m112 charger.

Bit if a clue further up the page.....

Yeah, if it's fooked we're considered sticking a 2.2 Honda motor with a blower in the back, they're not too much heavier and we'll sort out the extra length somehow.

^^What the welsh one said.

Had some surgery since, that cross bar has moved forwards and the bellhousing is getting some angle grinder and TIG welding fun to make it 30mm shorter and bring the engine even further forwards.

Bit of shuffling to get the engine forwards, angle grinder vs bellhousing, grinder won.

Bit of tidying up work, and a comparison to the old engine cage position...

Spaghetti Junction time this evening, sorry about the first pic, hands still vibrating from overuse of angle grinder...

Is that a base-model 205 steering wheel I spy there? :)

306 I think, given the 99 rabbit powered wagon has a 405 MI wheel in it :D

You should both hang your heads in shame, it's obviously a 106 XN steering wheel.

The 405Mi wheel in the 306 is knackered already. Lots of camber and castor plus a manual quick rack means it's getting torn to pieces, need a new one, again :(

So i hear you like exhausts, so we put an exhaust in your exhaust so you can burble while you rev.

Did the exhaust for the rotary in about 3 hours from start to finish. This one is on 3 days and counting....

will that have more torque from not being limited to 12" long primaries with no secondaries? :D

Sorted.

Should have a chunk more torque in the 3k to 6k area.

Anyway, got on with positioning the rest of the exhaust system, mocked the old rear cage up and sat the Mahooosive silencer down the side, sat the supercharger in after chopping some excess lugs off it (weight saving and all that shiz), then realised there was no way in f*** was the big assed 165 amp alternator going to go near the stock location as we originally thought....

So, looks like it's sitting at the side of the supercharger snout driving off a small belt and pulley bolted to the supercharger pulley.....I don't like it, but there's plenty of wraparound on that 5" pulley so it may be okay.

And after having the old cage on and taking some measurements, a couple of quick outline sketches to see how the new rear end/bonnet will end up:

Roughly where the new one will end up:
