Very nice, you've done/things I've wanted to do to a Rallye for ages! Probably will one day if I sell my GTi, or maybe do it as a side project!

Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks alot mate.

I've already gone alot further than i wanted to when i had the car!

wowzers! so clean and nice work and choice of parts too.

you should just refresh it with a set of new graphics - it will look loads better still!

by the way, does anyone else find this pic hillarious?:rolleyes::ph34r:

keep up the good work!

Thanks very much mate!

I have a new set of stickers sat in my room waiting to be put on :)

Looking good, back end looks like it needs to come down a few mm though?

Cheers mate! it's think i lowered it 50mm the first time round, but since the shocks its gone up quite a bit!

The handling seems near on perfect at the moment so might leave it for now!

Very nice!

Yeah Ive got the only yellow one Ive ever seen in my area . Saying that Ive never seen a white one either .

How hard was the engine swap to do ?

There is 2 white ones around here, but they are both owned by the same person so it's not to bad

the engine swap wasn't to bad really.

The wiring was the part that took my mate the longest, only other slightly tricky bit was the manifold!

Would an engine such as an Mi16 be an easier swap to do than a 106 gti . Im just trying to figure out what to put into mine .

Saw this car and how it has developed, and its fair to say, Jackman loves it now.

Nice little read. This is deffo one of the smartest looking 205's ive seen in south wales.

Its alot prettier than my mess of a car.

Spaghetti,

He chose the 106 gti engine/vts engine as it is Lighter and smaller than a mi16. Look at the room he has in the engine bay. my mi16 fills the bay on my 205.

Only just seen this thread - spec and car are great!

Any ideas as to how much lighter the iron bock TU is compared to an alloy block Mi16?

Hi Jackman, can U compare your 205 rallye to a 205 Mi16(stock) and say the differences between both cars, if U have this opportunity of course... :)

off the top of my head they are pretty light in standard form. When our one was weighed with a 309 rear beam and completely stripped out (fibreglass bonnet, polycarb rear quarter windows, coilovers front/rear, cheap bucket seats) it was 750kg with driver.

I haven't as of yet. really would love to! just not sure where i can go to have it done!

A few people on another forum have weighed their stripped 106's lately and they seem to be in the low 800KGs.

Looking at them i'd say i'm probably just under 800KG.

Thats quite intresting!

I really would love to get it weighed.

I'm looking into Polycarb windows, Fibreglass bonnet and boot at the moment!

You need a non GTI front bumper w/ yellow strip and a better front indicator, would look 100% then.
