I wanted them but the Mrs wouldn't let me :(

Do you have any parts of your old seats up for grabs?

Tell her thanks! :P I rekon the seller bid them up to be honest as they went for exactly his reserve price......

The seats, carpet and centre console will all be up for sale shortly, it's green/black half leathers though

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised, they had been listed and "sold" the previous week too.

Ah right, I'm after the cover off a passenger seat that's the same as the ones in your picture.

That's exactly what _should_ happen if just one bidder bids more than the reserve.

Replaced my drivers seat bolster, gave them a clean, and treated the leather.

I didn't realise that was how it worked to be honest, I thought it just kept you as the highest bidder in what ever increments it desired. I never pay much attention and tend to not bid on things with reserves. Lesson learnt I guess, he wasn't gonna let them go for any less than I paid anyway but I'll be careful doing that in future, it may have paid for them to end not meeting reserve then bidding him in the bollocks for them afterwards.

Did you manage to get rid of the discoloured cracking? If so what did you use?

Cheers

Yeah, it wasn't bad...less noticeable than it looks in the pic. I had a little pot of black re-colourer that I got for one of my other cars - Gliptone Scuffmaster. They'll make up stuff any colour though - I used some on some red leather a few years ago. If yours is black, I think some people use shoe polish!

I know what you mean, but they are black! For tiny little lines and cracks etc you wouldn't notice slightly different shades anyway.

I actually drove mine this morning!!

Less torque than the E91, half as many revs as the NC30.

Grin factor :):)

Ordered a new dipstick for the CTI. The parts guy at the Pug shop couldn't find the CTI dipstick on Service Box so he ordered one from a 306 instead. Tomorrow we find out if it fits...

I'll see tomorrow what we ordered. He said if it's the wrong part then I won't pay. I'll bring along the number you put here, hopefully that is it if we have the wrong one.

You can get 117279 on eBay for £9.99 incl delivery. I found it a bit tight in the shaft (snigger), so narrowed the fins slightly with some sandpaper.

Well, I'd have to pay for shipping to Germany, which ain't cheap (why is UK post so expensive?). Last time I checked eBay.de for the dipstick I couldn't find it. The one we ordered is only 12 Euro, so the price is good.

Meanwhile I have aluminum foil covering the end of the diptick tube to prevent oil from splattering around the engine and making a mess.

Sunday i changed the exhaust, radiator, heater matrix and fixed my 206 heater fan bodge (again).

The last 3 nights i've been fixing all the problems caused by following the Haines manual; unfortunately i only realised you dont need to remove the whole dash, to get to the matrix, after i removed most of the dash. Bugger won't go back quite right, after a few attempts the only problems left are my hazard button fouls on the trim (therfore won't pop back) and for some reason the fog light no longer works! Thats great with an MOT coming up.

Really enjoying working on the car after not having to touch it for a year!

Blasted, primed and painted left hand front suspension components, and enjoyed a beer in the sun.

Finally remembered to take the handful of bits from the kitchen to the 205 in the garage.
