Buff. Good to hear it wasn't a mega-overhaul.

Jesus I thought you meant accidental, didn't realise you meant someone chucked a load of gravel into the ports

not bad, just under half the weight of most standard units, they seem to be around the 4.7 kilo mark, how much of that is rotating weight not static though? and how much lighter is the wallet....

stator is the heaviest part, rotor is fairly light, disassembled an identical unit at lydden at the weekend and took the stator out after a friend exceeded the maximum speeds somewhat.

Ok, got a piece of aluminium to start on the switch panel. Do need to source an FIA cut out switch ASAP really, but most of them are there. Aluminium panel will sit in a composite box which will enclose all the wires and have the connectors on the front and back for the looms to plug into. To be honest it will probably take me the rest of the month to finish and check all of the wiring. I expect the pod will be an August job.

sits ok though. Top will be covered with satin self adhesive with the various labels printed on so it can be applied as one.

Alternator fits ok too, just need to make a modified bottom bracket for it.

Cheers,

Very nice - Looks quite tight - can you still operate the handbrake without it fouling on your switch panel?

I think the panel is just balancing on it for photographic purposes.. it'll be raised up from that position when it's mounted.

Cheers mate, yer, the panel is only gravitationly fixed at the moment lol. It'll sit higher, slight angle, and handbrake will be fine to use... but its not a rally car, I don't need it to get round corners, just to pass MOT.
