Looking really good! Do you think you'll be able to keep the carbon-effect door cards? or will you have to put the originals back in?

Cheers mate, I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep them, I've seen cars with flocked door cards pass scrutineering :)

Here's an update of where the project is up to;

Before moving on to the engine removal and engine bay respray, I finished the last bit on the interior, by modifying the std GTi center console, with a panel to hold the cut off switch and two fuel pump switches;

looking good! You know you made the right choice staying away from the fords haha! Where are you getting a single 40 manifold from? Sounds like the perfect solution to road rally regs! Just like my old mini but without welding a battery box in yhe bulkhead to allow room for the trumpets! also interested in those white steels

Cheers mate, getting there with it!

I've been in touch with Bogg Bros to make me the manifold.

I've had a few PM's regarding the wheels over the past couple of years!

The car's back on all fours for the first time in a few months :) I've got the engine finished and ready to fit, once the engine bay has been prepared and painted.

Fantastic work well done! Would you mind letting me know where you found the polybushes for the track control arms?

Thanks Chaps, getting there with it, almost ready for the engine to go back in after I've fitted a few bits on :)

Matt, I got the Poly Bushes from Ti Motorsport mate! Made a real difference to the handling!

Rolled Pug out into the sunshine to start working on the auxiliary wiring and fit the twin fuel pumps and bracket that I fabricated. Getting there slowly :)

Yes Posi flow pumps, they should be ok. I had a one pump running in a similar position before the rebuild :)

Got the Custom Made Bogg Bros Manifold today, so fitted all the bits onto the engine, only got the oil catch tank to fit now and it's 100% completed under the bonnet :)
