Nice little project, should certainly do the job!

 

Have you done anything with the seat mounts? Looks from the pics that you've kept them in there. They are notoriously weak, seen them snap plenty of times (including once at Combe sending Martin Wicks' 205 into the barriers backwards).

 

Just a shame to have done all that work only to leave something so simple.

 

they are on the list to do now, good spotting

Getting close now to roadworthyness, im aiming to get her mot'd next weds, ordered 4 r888 tyres today. should have the oil cooler

adapter tomorrow and get that all fitted along with the rad and finnish off the cooling system.

First drive of her yesterday under her own power, only turned it around and put it in the garage the other way. couldnt run it to long as is only has the exhaust manifold on, picking up the magnex tomorrow. get that fitted, get her all spanner checked then mot time, cant wait to get it on the road for a blast

Almost ready for the mot, massive thanks again to the old boy :D for all the work he's done to the car. He towed me up his garage last night which was fun and fitted the exhaust, lamda sensor and loads of other bits and bobs.

She flew the mot today :angry: all legal now and have been out in it for a few hours. No magor issues which is really pleasing, roll on combe a week saturday

Looking good Steve well done mate. So your Father owns Merthyr rd Garage then? nice bloke, got a good reputation up there aswell

took a few of my motors up there in the past for a quick tune.. So whens your 1st track day? Mines been off the road now for a week

with the vacume pump shot, lucky i got a spare 6-engine, shame its all down Sussex mind or it would have been done but i got plans for

that or more like someone else has a plan for me for it..lol so it should be back on the road tomorrow if Mr Postman turns up on time with

my pump.. Anyway mate well done on the build its come good fair shout, i think were the only people in this valley with 205-6s..We have to

go for a blat 1day if your up for it..

Yep the father in law owns merthyr rd, best local garage by far. first track day is this saturday at castle combe, cant wait. hope you get the pump sorted,

mines all road legal now, got to have the toyo t1-r tyres fitted this afternoon. was driving down from the garage last night in all that rain, was taking my time as i got the r888 tyres fitted. will be good to go for a blast. We wont ask spiky tho as his pug is to fast

u cant come on the blat, your car is to quick

 

she's all done, fitted the seals last night, repaired the speedo cable, riveted the footplate down. the battery needs securing down now

roll on saturday

Well the pug is all finnished and fully road legal, first trackday tomorrow at combe and i changed the wheels earlier to my wets.
