  1. To make a change from welding and to help me move the car about in the shed I thought I’d have a bash at getting it running. Currently sorted most of the engine loom wiring out, but I’ve found the above 2 earths and don’t know where they bolt onto. They’re on the branch of loom that has the SAD valve and distributor plugs on, so they must be somewhere on the LHS of the engine, but does anyone know where?
  2. Thought I would add a few of the most common ECU pinouts and wiring diagrams, as I've managed to get a PDF writer working as well as a copy of Autodata. Unfortunately due to the file limits it's one per post. So lets start with the 306 S16, Bosch Motronic MP3.2. 306 XU10J4 wiring diagram.pdf
  3. Hi, can anyone ID any of these loom connectors please? Do the yellow multis need to connect to the each other, because I've binned the junction that I think they were attached to - ie, the same junction that's inside the rear bodywork area where the passenger light cluster mounts.

    New Engine Loom...?

My engine loom is really ropey - to the point where some of it might as well be made from rope, TBH. Is there any way I can get the loom renewed/refurbed or replaced entirely? It's not really something I'd like to undertake myself although I would have a go at removal at least, if it's straightforward. Anyone got any links to outfits who would do this or suppy new? It's a standard 1.9 BTW...
  6. Hi I have also finished my track car build but as many have I am stuck at the wiring stage. I got an mi16 engine loom with it but have been told it has been butchered and is not worth trying to rescue. Could I get some opinions as to whether you guys would agree? It appears some plugs have been cut. Plugs on there: 2 wires near ECU plug ECU Middle Parts Any help advice would be greatly appreciated. Is it salvagable? Cheers
  7. i have hit a dead end on a couple of wires and just need to no where to reconnect them theirs one yellow wire from left pin of aa witch went to 1 of 2 grey wires cant remember with one then another wire witch came off one of the 2 grey wires and went somewhere ( was pulling about and must have puled wire out of crimp ) i allso can not find where to conect the left aa wire (yellow) back up to they all come out of this side of the car other than this slight issue the wiring should be straight forward as the loom and ecu have been left in just a case of soldering all the wire back together i hope help much appreciated cheers olly
