Looks great, the video could do with a slightly longer break's for you to read the text between each clip imo.

i didn't want to make it too long, it's easier for people to just pause the video and read it for as long as they want B).

and here's the story about the 2nd event of the season:

402 Street Race - Belgrade (SRB) - 12-13/May/07

205Mi32_Ev07_0201.thumb.jpg

DAY 1:

- in the 1st round of qualifications, we were lined up with Honda Civic and then

in the 2nd round we ran against an BMW E30 with an M5 engine. we qualified

to race in 14 secs class.

- the 1st round of the race was against a Suzuki Maruti with mid-mounted engine

and it was an easy win for the 205 Mi32.

- the 2nd round was against an Opel Kadett with C20LET turbo engine - a comfortable

win again.

- the 3rd round was against a tuned Civic Type-R - another easy win, but father was

a 10th of a second quicker than he should have so he broke into 13 secs class.

- after breaking into 13 secs class, the 1st round was against a Porsche 911 of

some sort (40 years edition). i thought this was going to be very tight but the

Porsche ate the dust! The crowd loved it and i was "going through the roof"!

- the 2nd round was against an old 7-series BMW with a tuned 3.5 turbo engine

and dual Nitrous system. the BMW won and he was really lucky too - only .004

of a second faster and he would have broken into 12 secs class (which would

leave us as a winner in this race).

205Mi32_Ev07_0247.thumb.jpg

DAY 2:

1st round of qualifying - two cars, four engines :-D. the twin-engined Golf has yet

again been the only car in 11 secs class, the previous day. 2nd round was against

an Opel Corsa with mid-mounted tuned Audi 2.7 bi-turbo engine and Nitrous, winner

of 12 secs class the previous day. we decided to qualify straight for the 13 secs

class this time as we'd probably end up in 13 secs class sooner or later anyway.

the 1st round of racing was against a 282 bhp Honda Civic (the 13 secs class winner

the preivous day), which wasn't too bad due to the fact that the 205 Mi32 had a nice

lead in 1st and 2nd gear, until my father selected 5th instead of 3rd... :-(

that was the early end of the day two but still, we were very sattisfied with the

car's performance (more than the driver's anyway ;-)) - it managed 13.192 secs ET

on saturday (and i'm sure i've seen 12.8xx too, but that has been edited later?!).

anyway, we are planing to definitely break into 12's on the next race that should

have taken place this weekend but it was postponed for 3 weeks due to bad weather.

uhm well, he's got a lot "cooler head" - i just get too excited and i'd eat

myself if i made a red light or some other error, while this way i can pick

on him for such things and stay cool :P.

and someone's got to take photos, videos etc, which i enjoy doing,

especially with having our car in the race :).

It's always nice to see how speed is subjective for everyone. I already like my 205 gti, your mi32 would kick his ass and in these races you come across other modified cars that are again a lot faster. Imagine how they would feel up against a champ - or formula one car.

It looks fast Nicika (is this spelled right?)!

Are you already thinking up plans to make it even faster? Or are you going to get as fast as possible with this setup? Maybe some of those big blue bottles filled with some weird kind of air the engine seems to like a lot ?!?!

no, it's Nikica :P.

so the "6" engine is in already?

well, first of all, if the clutch, gearshift and throttle were as light as in a normal car,

the gearchanges would be easier and much faster and it would break into 12's as it is.

it would also benefit from DOT-rated cut-slicks such as Toyo R888 or Yokohama A048

as the front end still wheelspins on take-off.

but at the moment, we're going to loose some weight and do some other things.

stay tuned to the story to find out what exactly :D.

thanks.

DO! Had to choose between those two, I'll always choose the wrong one if I have a 50% chance. My appologies, it's not a very common name here

The 6 engine hmmmmmm. I should have never bought a house with my girlfriend that's for sure :P It IS going in there but not right now. Saving up the funds for a nice freshening up of the engine and then transplant it into the car. Man I should never have met her in the first place. I mean I love her, but if I'd still lived at my mom's I'd feel more a part of this forum and would have 4 to 5 projects just like everyone else here :o

in this update the pug gets a "cooler" :D hatch:

205Mi32_Ph7_054.thumb.jpg

we also relocate the battery, fit new side mirrors and leave for another race:

you can find the second part of the Phase 7 story (with 45 pics) on THIS PAGE.

the report from (a not so successful) 402 Street Race in Velika Gorica coming very soon!

and some more great news: 205 Mi32 has been thoroughly tested & homologated

for road use, with the new name and all the mods noted in the car's papers! :P

thanks.
