That is sadly the case with these old dimmas you never know what they are hiding but it does look nice and a good price if solid but would be very hard to confirm this unless you could drill holes from inside and use a camera.

Not even a 1.1 shell and there is only 1 difference between my shell and a gti oh apart from I can say not one bit of rust.

Yeah looks very good...... Drivers seat will be getting a refurb at some stage mind, or is it just the picture? And you could have went for matts closer to originals?

 

One thing i notice missing which i actually have (new), is the correct plug leads (black leads with brown rubbers/insulators) and the dizzy bag. Let me know if you want to buy them! ????

They do, but that's a passenger seat fitted to the drivers side - hence no plastic trim and the winder knob being on that side.

So all the original Dimmas were built on gti models and yours is not mmmm don't sound original then

No thanks I have a dizzy bag. OE one of eBay. Really you think the seat needs to be refurbished???

 

Matts were from ammbassdor as a OE set was £250 and I couldn't see the value in spending £250.

Thanks mate. I have a M plate escort cosworth small turbo that was colour changed in 1998 from black to pearlescent perple. So strip down and paint it original colour and do a general light restoration.

Yeah I'm a bit young for the rs 500 although a beast of a car. There was a escort cossie on my street when I was a teenager and ever since wanted one with a passion.
