Sounds like a right hash, You really do need the Lambda sensor and speed sensor which I guess is not wired in. But as said the phase 1 is the easiest one to fit as you don;t use any of the 306 sensor loom wires all the 205 ones which are routed the correct way anyway.

Might be worth giving Constella a call as there Just south of Donington Park

i would pull the whole loom out and start again/get a new loom from spikey/miles etc...

It's a phase 1 car so you cannot plug and play unfortunately, it as all the main sensor's are in the car and do not unplug unless you take a fair amount of the loom apart

Ram a bit of cable into pin 14 then get another bit of cable and attach to an earth , turn ignition on and attach the two wires to the two terminal on the bulb, well side and one terminal it should light up

a random unused plug dont know what goes here

engine4.jpg

wire 820 and 808 connected together with anothe unknown random wire dont know where this goes but guessing it goes somewhere as the stupid sparky has attatched a connecter on the end of them and cut it down to size for it to go somewhere

engine3.jpg

the white wire is cc1 and i have it plugged into what i believe to be a switched live feed as the pump primes when plugged in but it will not start

engine2.jpg

what my wiring looks like ..... shocking i know

engine1.jpg

as above ....

engine7.jpg

a couple of other wires not plugged in dnt know if there need or where they go

hope this helps anyone who can maybe make some sense of all this shambolic mess

Some of those connections are appauling! i'm not supprised your having problems, if your not confident with wiring i really would get it to someone who knows whats what and pay them to fix it, before you end up with a engine fire or something!
