my 205 resto/track car

started the car in 06, engine got rebuild first, then the car got took back off the road after 6 month for the lot to be re-built

th_xdb.jpg

i bought a re-build box of miles and got a free 1900 bottom end/pistons off a member off here

i'll not go into too much detail with the pics though

th_DSCF5085.jpg

built my own baffled sump

th_DSC00431.jpg

built a jig so i could have the car on its side and also wheel it about at the same time

th_IMG_2202uv.jpg

repaired part of the rear 1/4, light surround and patched up some of the boot floor

th_IMG_1011.jpg

and bought what i thought was a good 1900 beam for 100, which it wasnt so got a beam out of the scrap yard for 10 and rebuilt the 1900 beam into the scrapyard find

th_IMG_1109.jpg

cool, happy to help with ideas, seen it done on a vw years ago..

if i ever made another tho, i'd have used thicker steel as it does flex a bit, but perfect for rolling in and out of small garages and very easy to pull over on your own, but it will annoy the neighbours :)

it will only work on shells too

this will give you an idea about how easy it is

no detailed updates, but got all the trim painted black, boot lined up and front wings lined up.

ive been making up some aliminum bumper brakets and using 8mm rivnuts.

the back bumper is sorted but im waiting on some special peugeot nuts for the front bumper.

also got the windscreen in, which i thought was going to be a really hard job but it was a peace of piss

yeah the grip tape has a joint, i couldnt find anything wide enough but you can tell the joints there with a splash of mat black paint..

ive since rounded off the edges and bolted down, using rivnuts.
