Can anybody confirm the correct fitting of the hoses on a 1990 205 GTI PAS rack? (It's been Mi16 converted and I'm using the PAS pump on top of the gearbox) My understanding is: The upper outlet on the rack is the high-pressure hose and it goes to the back of the PAS pump. The lower outlet on the rack is the low-pressure hose and it goes to the side inlet of the reservoir (via the 'cooler' underneath the car). Thanks.
TheLarneMan posted a topic in XU 16v Engine Maintenance and Performance UpgradesFolks, I need to replace the oil filler hose on my Mi16 engine. The pipework has been re-routed slightly as I have fitted throttle bodies and I'm using a generic bit of tubing at the minute. Does anyone know the diameter of the outlet on the engine and the outlet at the bottom of the plastic filler? Cheers.
Tall_Alex posted a topic in Misc/General TechnicalGood Afternoon Ladies & Gentlemen. My oil breather hose has just literally fallen apart at my touch. The question is, do I replace it or change to one of those new-fangled breather filters? Just wanting to know the arguments for each of them these days. I know the function of the hose, but is it necessary these days? FYI I'm in New Zealand, a place where chopping your catalytic converter off is all but encouraged, so the environment doesn't enter into the equation! Thanks in advance for your opinions and help :-)
