  1. Evening! This is probably a bit if an odd question. But what is the difference between the gold series and the Gha's, physically that is. Is there any difference in dimension between them
  2. Hi there, Did a sprint day with my mate russ, who has a lovely avon tiger with a 2.0L zetec R engine on bodies! tis very nice. But he's struggling with tragic understeer, mid corner, and exit. The initial turn in is good, then as soon as you try and drive through the corner, it ploughs on. Now it's got Gaz coilovers and we think 300lbs springs at the front, we think perhaps a bit less at the rear. This spring rate sounds way to high for a 500kg car with a reasonably light car. We wound the dampers right off, and it made no difference. Considering the gaz kit for the 205 has 250lbs springs, which i consider way too stiff, from my understeer experiences!!! Any thoughts from the suspension experts, i'm thinking he needs more like 150lbs at the front...does anyone own a kit car that they autotest or sprint? or anyone else shed any light. Cheers J
  3. I bought a set of Gaz Gold coilovers about three years ago and have only just gotten around to getting ready to fit them but I've hit a bit of a snag. I didn't get adjustable top mounts at the time, and have a vague memory of reading they could be used with standard Pug top mounts. Is this correct? If so, I can't for the life of me figure out how it all goes together. I assumed I could just swap the standard spring top keeper plate for the blue Gaz thing, but it looks wrong and the thread for the top nut would be too short. Does the blue bit just go straight under the standard cup thing under the rubber with the roller bearing removed or just straight under the rubber or something? Thanks.

    Gaz Gha Adjusting

this might seem like a daft question, but as my new GAZ GHA coilovers dont have a 'user guide' as such I'm a little unsure as to how the adjustability bit works. Theres a knob that goes on top of the hex bit on the top of the shaft with directions for +/- , but what I'm not sure on is: - should it 'click' to signify each setting of just turn a certain amount? - how many settings are there? - how do you know which one it is on? - is there anything to signify the lowest/highest setting I assume when you know how many settings there are you can just click it down to the lowest and then click it upwards to the desired setting? thanks in advance! John
