    Rear Beam For Free.

Hello all, I know I've not posted enough to put this in the for sale section. I've spoken to Cybernck and he said this is fine. I have a 1.6 GTi rear beam sat at my house it's been off the car for around a year. My car is now gone so I'm giving this away to anyone that wants it. Will need to be refurbished or whatever you want to do with it. It'll only end up in the scrap so thought I could offer it to anyone to make use. My house is in the YO42 4TN postcode area. I'd prefer if you could pick up but could arrange to meet somewhere near by. Any questions feel free to ask. I think there is half a rear wheel bearing included Thanks for looking. First comes first served basis.
  2. Quimk and simple, do the rear beams of a 205 fit on a 309? I know the 309's is wider, I don't know if the 205's is so narrow it won't work.
  3. We got a J reg 205 diesel van at work which has a MOT test fastly approaching, but its sitting on its ass at the moment needing a new rear beam. Iv lined up another 205 which is a phase 1 L reg 5dr diesel, the rear beam looks straight and in good condition but before i buy, i wanted to know if rear beams are interchangeable throughout 205's. If anyone could help me as soon as possible id be very grateful.
  4. Hi all, This is my first post on the forum, but I have used it extensively over the past few months since buying my 1.9 gti. On every occasion the forum has come up with the goods, however this time I'm really struggling... I have just bought a rebuilt rear beam from a company as the old one is knackered. I hoped it would be a case of simply swapping the old one for the new one, but upon receiving the new beam I noticed that the whole flexible joint housing was missing from the crossmember bracket. The whole beam has been re-painted so it's hard to tell whether it has been ground off or whether it never existed in the first place. I have spoken to the company that reconditioned it and they said that it arrived from the previous owner like that. I've tried looking all over the forum and the internet and can't find any other examples of this. All I can find are articles on fitting solid mounts or refurbing worn mounts, but I've got nothing to fit the new mounts in, so I'm assuming this isn't normal, but please correct me if I'm wrong. So rather naively I'm asking if the flexible mounting bushes are essential or whether the new beam can be bolted on without them? If the answer is no then I guess it's going back to where it came from. Thanks in advance Adam
