Short Description
Purchased in 2013 as rolling project, no tax mot but drivable and relatively easily repaired with my professional mechanic, second one in current ownership and has the original features including the best 1.9 engine I and everybody I've met has encountered. Skip Brown stated it was the cleanest running block they had come across, rolling road tested at 130 bhp at the wheels! Only modification is K&N air filter and 4 way exhaust manifold.
On going restoration and improvements to detail will include replacement seats, front fog lights and rust spots. its great fun to drive, great pleasure to share. I now have added to my collection with a further phase one 1.9 gti with 86k on clock, rusty bootlid otherwise original and a 1.6 cti with electric hood which I have had repainted in original cherry red see pictures, as a comparison I have a peugeot 208 gti by peugeot sport, though a great car its nowhere near as fun as the 205! I think this is down to light weight great visibility and it feels fast at forty whereas the 208 seems flying only above 70! so no fun on public roads! - Car Type / Usage Road car
