For some reason I missed out on this topic for several years. Even do I'm the reason the topic is started :P .

Well, better late than never. Most of you already figured things out, but to make all the information complete for the ones who want to do this cheap 24mm rear ARB upgrade. There are two ways to this rather cheap upgrade.

1. The original 24mm 306 GTi6/Rallye ARB. As already said, shorten it, weld it on one side and there you have it.

2. The 24mm 106 GTi / Rallye S2 with 306 1.8 or higher engine models endplates. This ARB is a bit shorter as the 205 one, but long enough. Weld it to one side.

Arnold Naber and I came up by the 106 option after we had some 205 GTi standard ARB's side by side with the 106 GTi one. And found out they not only looked simulair, but where also almost the same length. We took the 106 GTi ARB to our Pug GTi specialist (LeeuwenService), where owner Ron de Groot then figured out that endplates of a 306 1.8 or up will fit. Before the 306 GTi ARB upgrade was already used by some. Nowadays the 106 GTi version has become almost a standard upgrade for the 205 trackday cars in the Netherlands. As it is much cheaper and much easier available as the Peugeot Sport (and other brands) ARB options.
