rapidcossie 0 Posted December 12, 2008 Fitted a new speedo cable to cure the needle being shaky and sticking. Everything was ok for about 2 weeks til I was on track last sunday. As soon as I started to up the pace the speedo just went haywire. It now works sometimes and not others. I have checked connection on back of clocks and route of cable etc and all seems ok. Rom 0 Posted December 13, 2008 Mine went nuts....then stopped. Theres a speedo drive inside the box, which runs off the diff, then runs the cable. Mine had broke. Easy enough to see, take the bolt out of the base that hold the cable in place. Pull the casing out. Mine was a red cog that the cable slides into, not sure if there all the same colour. The square hole was pretty much round on mine, so only drove the cable intermitantly etc. There listed on service box. Theres a few different options as to how many teeth it has etc. As for the flickering in general. Ive had a new cable from Peugeot on mine for about 4 months, and its doing it again.
