Recommended Posts

Guest nosboost91
hi ,i have just joined the forum and thought i`d share my 4 year project with everybody. i have built a 4x4 205 using 405 4x4 runnig gear, the engine is an all steel internals, mi16 1.9 alloy block with a gti6 head ,48 jenvys, cat cams . The spec list is endless ,power figures are between 250-270bhp at 9200rpm.

Very nice project !!!

We are talking of your project in France !

I have used Mikeanics in Congelton, not far off J17 M6. He used to work for skip browns before setting up on his own. I had my mi on throotle bodies and omex 600 set up there and he did a top job.

i have thought about using motoscope, as the car is in york at the moment. the only problem is they originally mapped my old 8 valve engine and i wasn`t to impressed with the result`s.Have they got a 4x4 rolling road cause i can`t remember?

Bit of a trek but i can reccommend Chris Todd at Torque of the Devil. Hes down south near Slough, although is just off the motorway so easy to get to. Me and plenty of others have used him in the past with no problems to report in the slightest. Hes good to deal with, very competitive on price, and has a Dyno Dynamics setup so can do 4wd. He mostly works with Omex, but can map anything well, he did both my Emerald and a mates Evo which was on Motec.

The only smart decision you could have made was to keep the car!

Just read throught the build thread and this is an aewsome car. Very well done to you, wish i could concentrate on just one car and get a good result like this not try working on 5 cars at once. More pics would be nice

just a little update .managed to get one of my fibre glass doors ready for painting this week. i filled in a few holes that weren`t needed ,plus fitted my new door mirrors.

Fibre glass is not easy to work with,i nearly put the standard doors back on.

Finished painting one door, although i`m not happy with the colour match, but what do you expect when i`ve used airosol cans. Also attached my new mirror and blue tint polycarbon windows also made by myself.

Nearly finished the bodywork now, only problem is I have the chance to purchase some 205 t16 graphics for the sides of the car,but changing the light blue to White.would appreciate any comments on this , i am not sure it would look ok.

Should I leave the car like this?
