Recommended Posts

Well a little update:

The flatbed came today to take the car to a diesel specialist. Will hopefully have had a call by the weekend to let me know exactly what the fault is. So no 'Breaking' post just yet.

Been a long week without the car, like anything alse, you don't miss it till its gone.

Wish me luck. :)

YES!!!!

Just had the phone-call that puts me back on the road!!

Turned out my leak off pipes were leaking air, the stop solenoid I had replace was defective and the pipe fuel pipe from the bulkhead should have been 6mm as opposed to 8mm.!!!!

So basically a catalogue of disasters :) but the main thing is it all turned out well in the end!!

Please forgive the excessive use of exclamation marks, but I just managed a smile for the first time in a week!!

Glad its sorted Jimi, I thought I'd made out I wasn't sure of the hose size (6 or 8mm) but just remember it being a tight fit onto the metal pipe made worse by the lack of access behind the engine.

I wonder if mine's something that simple as well? Oh well, to late now I've got the new Bosch pump & injectors here to fit. Just need a deep reach 27mm socket so I can swap them & then rebult everything.

Graham.

Yes mate, you made it clear. A combination of my lack of aptitude and patience led to my downfall. :) Appreciate your and Lans help, would have been lost without it.

Top man.
