What Tells The Alternator What The Battery Voltage Is?

Recommended Posts

Is it the smaller of the two alternator wires, the one that goes to the voltage regulator?

the smaller wire on the altenator goes to the warning light on the dash. the bigger wire goes to the battery. the bit your thinking of is inside the back of the altenator.

Thanks Miles.

I put the voltage regulator from an old alternator on my current one and it seems better now.
