1.9 Homologation

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me when the 1.9 was homologated? The Homologation papers I have have a no. of VO's for things like the rear discs, but none for the capacity increase. I'm doing an event that requires the car to be a run-on of a pre'86 car, so no vo's after Dec '85 are allowed. I can run the car as a 1.6, but it has a perfectly good 1.9 in it I'd like to run if possible. I know the 1.9 wasn't released to the public 'til late '86, but when was it homologated????

Thanks, Chris

The 1600 was homologated on 1st April 1984 on A-5213 in group A form. The 309 GTI 1900 was homologated 1st April 1987 on A-5332.

I can't find the 1900 docs at the moment, but i am pretty sure they will be after Dec 85

Thanks Henry, yeah, I've got the A-5213 GpA homologation papers from PSOOC but the last VO is those Avril '84 ones, there must have been VO's after that. The papers I've got are 35 pages incidentally, any longer than that around? I gather there were something like 21 VO's for the 205.

PS pix attached from the weekend...

Any more thoughts on homologation?

I've got a 1.6 anyway...
