after sending back my adj microphone as it was faulty, i bought a different version, a condensor Mic, so been out playing tonight, tryting to find the best location for the mic

 

here is a small vid of it sat in near the wiper motor,

 

do you think it's to much engine noise?

 

also like the new camera location? it's sat in the aerial bolt hole

can't have too much engine noise sound seems much cleaner, new location gives more of an idea of how the car is behaving I think.

quite true think i will set it up there for now, can always move it again

 

i chose that angle as when i have picture in picture the bottomw right, will be taken up with second cam so hiding part of the bonnet, shouldn't affect the front view camera much ( i hope )

What kind of mounting have you used to take advantage of the Aerial mount? - this is something I had thought about

Thats not was I was expecting

 

My idea was to grab hold of the ariel pull it up and over so that it and the mount now faces the wrong way, unscrew the ariel from the mount, and screw the bullet cam into the hole the ariel came out of - that way the up/down angling of the camera is adjustable via the original mount - if you get my drift

yeah i get you, your problem would be the mount and camera would move giving a bad picture,

 

mine wont moce, plus that camera has tilt and pan and zoom and all sorts, so fixing it to the car is not a problem

 

my other camer isn't adj though,

Nice video, it sounds great. Pity about the c*ck in the silver car flashing you as you overtook the van, why other drivers feel the need to do that is beyond me.

Spiky, I'm just starting my own build of a gti6 conversion.

 

Which 1.6gti box did you use, was it the BE1 or BE3 ?

Just read the whole thread. My hat is off to you mate.

I'm currently doing the GTi-6 conversion myself, with a slow tempo as my 5 month old son is not much help at present!

Hopefully see you at a track, end of teh year the way it's going.
