Windshield gasket with sunroof OEM 812063

Hi Folks,

 

I got my windshield replaced by insurance company window fitters. I purchased new windshield gasket (ref. 812063) from French museum and get all rust cleaned prior fitting.  It leaking like hell now!  The window fitter company blaming rust for the leak but there us only very minor surface rust on inside lip and outside got completely sanded down, primed and repainted so I don't thing they are right. They will not tell me order number of the windshield so is there a possibility they fitted wrong window in? Can any of you take a similar picture of the seal and post it here so I have something to compare to? Any idea why this could happen? Any help is appreciated!

@welshpug I agree they did not fit it well. If any of you have an image how the seal/gasket look like by the roof, it would give me more power when I meeting with the dodgy window fitter.

should be flat al the way along, if its creased like that it has been stretched, needs popping out, lubricating and refitting carefully.

 

quite likely not something most window fitters do any more these days, bonded screens have been around longer than some of these guys have been alive!

hope this is clear enough, this is the original factory screen as far as I recall.
