My old Supersport. She was really rusty when I got her. Like a brand new car when she was finished!

Been trimming and welding. It's not complete yet, but the majority of this section of welding is done. Doesn't look too bad, everything lines up and measures correctly! I'm just as surprised!!

Right, I've tried sorting this shell, but the front chassis leg is rotten, drivers footwell, plus loads of other areas. So, I've stripped it of all it's bits and got another shell. This isn't perfect, but it was cheap and local.

So bye bye black shell.

Hello red shell!!

Roof was knackered.

Skin from black car.

So, I'm in the process of welding the roof up. Then a scuttle repair, bumper hangers and a minor one on the sill.

Then a wire wheel underneath, new paint and stone guard, then a repaint!! Can't wait!!

Underneath and a couple of other bits painted. Leaving the engine bay to the painter, as my efforts aren't so good!! Looks quite good. Problem with painting with a red colour, everything gets a nice pinky/red shade!!

Mind you, this little bugger was a pain to sort!!

EF2E24BE-46ED-4597-9715-9BF2A584F28B_zps

Hinge pin removal tool was a little small, and the pin tight. As the tool went through, I thought I'd knock it through with a screw driver. Didn't work, just jammed it right up!

5BE49821-0993-435D-BAC9-7EB5BFFDF742_zps

So ended up with this. Pin was seized solid, even with wd40 and loads of heat. But it's all welded back together. Just had some copper pipe in the pin space and plenty of power from the welder.

Waiting for my 309 beam to be finished too!

Looks good! Im just about to start mine hopefully can get it all done myself and looking good before retroshow. What painter did you go to? I used to use an old school boy on the road to neasham from Darlington when I worked in darlo, he was cheap as and worked miracles on my old car that was crash damaged, he just leaves the interior a mess and like I say is no nonsense old school sorta guy lol

Mike Levy on Albert Hill. He painted my supersport and has done a few bits for friends, so I'm more than happy with what he's done. You can't tell the roofs been done! He paints vans usually, but enjoys older cars!

Good god that paint looks a bit thick, looks like powder coat, is it going to get flatted down?

Love a good paint job
