You'll be reporting that you've melted your wiring and stalk if you don't use a relay with 100w bulbs!

I'd put it near the headlights with the original wire triggering it.

Make sure the earth is 100% too.

Mac Crash

Popular thread... would add something even though it may not all be related...

Haven't had any real time to check yet but aren't the headlights already served by a relay as standard? have been using higher wattage bulbs for a while now with no issues at all, have 130W's fitted in the driving lamps too (intending fitting relay for this circuit) but hardly ever use them as do not feel the need for them within speed limits.... don't even use high beam under 70 mph, have 20/20 vision so can't understand the need for high beam at all to be honest on public roads... your simply not going fast enough to need them, unless the standard lights/reflectors are in poor condition? puts wildlife at risk too.... easily irritated by modern drivers who dip their beam only when you come into view and not before.... even over blind crests... only one tip I have, (apart from don't stand up in canoe) don't look at the lights and keep left...

my wife has an Estonian driving licence, sat in two parts, summer and winter tests, if taken in summer then you'll sit the winter test on a specialist surface (ice-pan) with all season tyres... if sat in a typical winter it will be on a frozen lake.... you'll be instructed as to what they are looking for but not demonstrated, your passengers will be other test-sitters, not the instructors, who will observe you from a safe area... includes crash test dummies thrown out in front of you as part of the emergency stop that's what I call a driving test, ours could and should be inline with this....

if you can't pass or achieve then you need to accept that it's not in your human rights to drive a car on public roads if your not competent. The car is not an accessory... yes, we still all need it, but at what cost? anyway, completely different subject but onto these french driving lights, your not doing it right if your lights aren't yellow during the day (lights off) so why bother?

interesting top gear video on french headlights

your looking at about 30% light loss with halogen bulbs... if using most methods to go yellow, that's alot!
