When I bought it last March it had been neglected for some time. Its taken a lot of work inside and out and is now having mechanical work done so should be on the road in a couple of weeks!

I know what you mean about the laquer Vicki. Roof, bonnet and boot lid were all affected. But looks wicked now - well pleased.

Varios panels on deans ie..wings,rear 1/4's and doors have been resprayed in the past due to mindless vandals and those panels are fine but the roof, rear spoiler are peeling and the bonnet is serious;ly faded and flat...luckily hes a quailified panel beater so the plan is to respray it all this summer.

What mechanical work are you having done to it?

Its had new clutch and new brake calipers, discs and pads all round. New front driveshafts. Currently being investigated for idle problem(possibly ICV). Plus general tune up, timing belt and MOT plus whatever else is discovered along the way. After that may sort an induction kit to help her breath a little better!

With Dean being a panel beater must save you a fortune!

Basically yes Kris.got the tools, spray guns and compresser etc.

It does come in handy having Dean around esp as hes a mechanic aswell...and having pugs that always comes into use lol.

He's gonna have his work cut out with sparying the le mans, seeing to my new project and hopefully fitting TB'S to the le mans

Well, this picture was taken in 8th March. Law says that one must have winter tires at least from beginning of December to the end of February. And normally I've used winter tyres from November to the end of April.

Oh yes, 4wd slides are just too much of fun. B) That's the reason why I broke my car's driveline one year ago. :D And now begins six way too long months to wait for winter and icetrack.

Got my filthy paws on an Mi16 Le Mans last week, its not in too bad shape but it will need a bit of fixing before it can pass its NCT (Irish version of MOT) although it had just passed its MOT in March.

of course it came complete with peely roof & bonnet as standard so will have to get that looked at.

although after a bit of a clean up the interior looks ok.

Anbother le mans with laquer peel on the roof....maybe they ran thin with it on the production line lol

Looks a nice example though.whats the mileage?

Build number should be on drivers door btw

Unfortunately the build number seems to be missing :( from other Le Mans I have seen its usually only a sticker on the drivers door, so its likely that it peeled off at some stage, I'd love to know how to find this number and maybe stick a new one on? the Peugeot sign from the back is also missing but that should be easy to get.

the mileage is 130,000 but it seems to be running smoothly other than the cover for the exhaust manifold rattling.

anyway heres a pic of my other 405:

Are those 307 HDi wheels?

yep, they came off a 307SW not sure if it was HDI or not, got them to fit with a set of KEI spacers. good handling off them might stick them on the Le Mans at some stage. that car btw is a GLXD so it came with crappy normal wheels.
