my brother made the same mistake of putting his back together too soon so he has bits of green paint everywhere lol (he went from green to black) I'll be letting it harden for around a week before putting the trim back on

right then a lot of pictures today

 

have been doing more flatting and polishing today

hered the drivers side before, some reflection but nowhere near where i want it.

so out with the 1500, 2000 which gave me this result

door and wing after a good polish

and the rear quater after a couple of passes

and finished

same thing was then done to the roof and the passengers side, took 2 and a half hours just to flat it

then got the wing door rear quarter and roof done and it started raining so had to hold off doing the boot

got the rear bumper painted yesterday and re assembled today

and back on with the lights after a quick polish, also between showers got the boot done

then just couldn't help myself so got the rest of the kit cleaned up and back on

 

just got the paint the front bumper and get the rest of the red strips on and it will be done cant wait!

today then got quite a bit done

first of all sanded and painted the front valance

then painted the bumper and fog light surrounds as they were a bit rusty

then back on the car

already looking better

and this is after a wash as it had a lot of dust on, this is with no polish/ protection on

then popped down to halfords and picked this up after reading a good review about it

and also got these as it was a 3 for 2

and last but not least got the remaining bits of trim on :argie:

put the badge off my old white GTI on which i think sets it off nicely

 

just got to do the door/ boot shuts as well as the engine bay and the underside etc in black and it will be done

hmm not sure if my little compressor could cope with painting another car it was getting very hot doing mine

i know a place that can paint it though fairly cheaply around £200-£250 in Oldbury iirc, let me know if you want there details, have used them for a few cars and there quite good really

I really can't believe you still haven't got a new or better Peugeot badge for the rear though.

I have to admit though I hate it when people paint the Lion badge a different colour, it's the sort of thing Hitler would do.

thanks my thinking was there are too many red ones and not enough black ones so i did it black , the badge on the rear will be replaced in time

thanks , the red badge i think goes with all the red strips and adds to the black and red theme quite nicely plus i already had it ff my old car so thought why not

lol i don't think I'll ever be getting rid of my wheels i have been looking for a set for ages and was lucky this set came up so cheap

thanks , the badge is actually a very similar red to the strips in person but the flash makes it look odd its not as in your face as it is in the pics

update time finally got the computer working lol, there are a lot of pictures

so may take a while to read!

first up it got a good polish and wax a few weeks back, did get pictures of the

different stages but the SD

card on the camera got corrupted but did grab a few pics in the rain with some

beading

next i was doing some painting on my brothers Hyundai and had to move it back so i

didnt get overspray on it

and though it was an exellent oppertunity to get some better photo's of it so

here they are

noticed i need a new fog light

some progress then, decided to start painting the door/ boot shuts, boot first so

here was it before

after a quick clean up

and flatted/ masked up

and painted, the boot floor and the sides were brush painted and it turned out a

lot better than expected the rest was spray painted

back together

and boot carped/ sub and amp back in and wired up

also painted the underside of the boot the next day

also a while back i had stripped the engine bay flatted and painted it aswell but

due to the afore mentioned SD card corruption all the pictures

were lost so grabbed some of the bay as it stands (still need to paint the

underside of the bonnet)

latest update then i have been doing yet more sanding and painting, this time the

arches and suspention etc hered the dirvers side before

as you can see rusty nasty and dirty, so all got flatted/ wire brushed and painted,

the suspention etc has just had a quick going over as it

will be replaced with GTI suspention etc in the future

and onto the rear, heres before

then the front passengers side, this one turned out best in my opinion

got the passengers door shut painted up and looking nice , heres some pics

first sanded and masked up, the inner door got brush painted before hand as it hides behind the door card anyway :thumb:

and painted

unmasked and started putting it all back together

and finished just the other side to go now.

You should have completely stripped it and done a bare shell respray to begin with!

right then this is to be the last ever update of project Eddie as yesterday Eddie went on a trip to wales with his new owners :car: but i did make some progress before he went so here it is

the 205 was a great looking car in the end, only thing is as i bought it off my brother and everytime i looked/ sat in it i never really felt like it was mine hence why i changed it dramatically lol but even that didnt work so its gone now, made a couple hundred profit aswell so not all lost

 

next car more than likely wont be a 205 unfortunately as i cant afford a GTI and dont want to start again with a base model hopefully get a real GTI next year as me and my brother are going to rent a lockup to keep our projects in ill be able to work on it a lot more then without worrying about weather or light
