Good day at Cadwell on the 29th May.

 

Probs the wettest trackday I've ever done, steep learning curve but great fun.

 

No end of red flags but we managed to keep it on the island.

It went so well until.....

 

100mph+ spin on my own oil

 

 

 

 

Yup, dead engine eventually traced to bad mapping...

Soooo.

 

I sourced another motor from jackherer which involved a 9 hour round trip after work a couple of months back.

 

New cam belt and tensioners fitted so hopefully it will be good to go again soon.

 

I couldn't live with the boat anchor of an engine mount so it had to go....

 

I knocked up my own fabricated version.

Dropped the engine and finish welded the engine mount tonight.

 

 

All painted now. Engine should be back in tomorrow

PAS stripped off now, 15kg saved

Weighed in at 760kg

 

Still easy weight to remove too, std auto bonnet is being changed to f/glass.

 

Thats with over half a tank too :-)

The front struts are just cheap Gaz coilovers.

 

Nowt special. Intially unkown front springs now with 280lbs to see how it goes?
