1.6 Gti Dying Issue

I thought I would let you know how I got on. I had a week off work this week, so perfect to sort out my problem.

 

Went to start the car on tues and it didnt even start. Great even bigger problem.

 

So I started with plugs checked for a spark and had one so thought it must be fuel related. Undid the top of the fuel filter and had no pressure so must be something to do with the fuel pump.

I found I had no power to the pump and traced it back to the fuse box. There was no power through the fuse. Something is corroaded in the fuse box I think. Anyway managed to bypass it with a fused ignition live until I can sort it out properly.

 

So my problem was not even ignition related. Oh well at least its sorted!
