My New Car

Well over the summer I was missing my 205 GTI really bad, so decided I wanted another 205. I looked around and then this little beauty came up http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

 

I went ahaead and bought it and fell in love with it straight away! Only probelm is I cant get it on the road until I sell my 206 and transfer the insurance!

The plan is to leave it as it is for now, while I try to find a good condition Rallye interior for it! Anybody have one they want to get rid of or know the best place for me to start looking? I have a 1.9 half leather interior I could swap for.

Im very happy with it! I paid £1200 in the end, I might have been able to get it cheaper if I bought it on ebay, but we found a price we were both happy with so he ended the auction!

I saw that on ebay and it looks very lush. I like it. Price is immaterial if both parties are happy with the transaction.

 

Enjoy it when you do get on the road with it.

I remember that from being on ebay earlier this year and on piston heads. I 'nearly' had it bought on ebay at that time. Think he was looking alot more for it back then though. Should be a good car .

Im not really sure what happened with the pictures. Im thinking of giving it a little clean tomorrow so ill get some better res pics up in the morning.

 

I usually prefer the GTI's but thought this was a little different and really really like the euro arches

Keep an eye on eBay, as they do come up occasionally. Problem is, Rallye seats perish at an alarming rate. I ended up hacking apart two sets to get one decent one and had a local embroidery shop produce me some new PTS patches. If you need any help on these, give me a shout.

Ye im gonna have to keep an eye open for some seats, no rush though as I quite like the buckets!

Ive also been having a think about the bumper trim inserts, im not fussed on the chrome and the white does'nt look too bad. I had a quick go on paint earlier to see what red would look like. Here's the to pics together, which do you guys prefer???

I'd be tempted to paint the bumpers white too, ala euro rallye, though if you were staying with black and an insert I think the white looks better!

 

Also, I personally would try and pick up a GTi rear valance, just looks that little bit better!

Hi mate , defo keep it white looks the Dogs and you had a steal there..Nice 1. We have a meet tomorrow in south wales, your only a few miles from me why not come over and drive over with me? Were off to the A4069 for a blat should be a good day, ill pm you my mobile now give me a bell around 12pm to get times sorted to be down there for 3pm..
