This was one of Sarty's hire cars that I did some work on, have to say it was a right hoot, 100% standard 1.6 suspension and brakes with a heavily skimmed and ported 1.9, bit of a pear tbh that had been roughly patched back together but in fair nick mechanically.

What suspension is this car running, and what height have you set the rear beam too? That car looks to sit perfectly

I totally agree, sits nicely there. Not too low but a good stance. Body work looks nice too.

That's sat on Eibach 7001 front springs and a 205 rear beam that's had the height set to match - I think it was circa 305mm between shock centres with 20mm torsion bars. Pictured with 65kg odd of Justin as ballast in the passenger seat

That picture thankfully doesn't show the roof, which now has pretty much no lacquer left at all such is the joy of Phase 2's  The rest of the body and paintwork is reasonable but far from exceptional - it's a daily used car and had laid neglected and abandoned outside for years before I bought and revived it, so it has it's fair share of dings and scratches as you'd expect. I keep pondering getting it resprayed, but I'd only end up being precious about it.

To give you some idea, this is what it looked like when I first bought it after having put the front end back together (it had no suspension/running gear and was sat in overgrown grass/weeds) so that I could tow it home. It's certainly no minter, but the transformation compared to how it was - considering it's had no paint - is remarkable

Poor old girl. I documented the transformation in my Project Jalopy thread if you're interested :)

I followed this one in your project thread but wasn't sure if it was the same one. It's come a long way from the beginning and although as you say it's not mint it still looks like a good and well cared for 205.

Mines very much the same, looks mint from a far but up close has its imperfections here and there. But at least they can be enjoyed rather than under a cover for the rest of their life. I need to get hold of some eibachs now as I really want mine at your ride height.
