  1. Had my brake pipes made up today so thought id give the master cylinder a good cleaing out before i started. It's new to the car but 2nd hand so I stripped it down before i fitted it a few months ago. So I pressed the brake pedal today and it stopped down, well it gradually came back but very slowly so thinking the cylinder had crap in it removed it again and the pedal is still the same i can pull it back quickly , so its not air locking ot seized but it's got me stumped and im super pissed about it as it will be very hard to swap it this late into my conversion. On inspecting the cylinder the plunger has also stopped lnside the cylinder however it isnt seized i can move it and have stripped it down again and all looked fine, put it back together again pressed plunger in and its sticking in so it lost and argument with the floor and lives in the green bin now. Is my servo fubar'd? It was replaced with the cylinder at christmas. I've still got the original one but its extremely rusty and the pedal returns rapidly.
  2. Hi guys, I seriously need to dig my 205 out and get it finished, the only thing stopping me is the brakes. Does anyone have pictures of their vacuum hose setup? I ideally would like to know what joins/fittings/hose diameters people are using for theirs. Also, do most people just use either the vacuum pump or inlet or both? It's a gti6 engine with 1.9 gti non abs brakes. Cheers!
