  1. Got the Controle Technique (French MoT) tomorrow morning, so trust the car to play up now. I recently changed the light switch stalk, and that seemed to solve previous lighting issues. I've got a third lighting stalk switch, so tried that...no change. So can be pretty definite it's not the switch. Any ideas? Rear lights light up OK, headlamps, dip & main beam, also the horn, all work fine. On sidelight setting, only the rear lights work; no dash lighting, no sidelight dash symbol, no front sidelights. Have tried fiddling with the 3 yellow earth connectors by the radiator, so it doesn't seem to be an earthing issue. Have washed car thoroughly including hosing under front wings.
  2. You're a resourceful lot - I've got a set of seat belts here but I don't have the buckle-type ends that bolt to the central tunnel, into which your tongue clicks into. But they're an unusual type - not sure what they're from (certainly not a 205) - and I need to find out what car/make they're from so I can scour ebay for some appropriate buckles to click them into. On the diagram below, they're pattern number 25.... Anyone any ideas?

  4. This is really pissing me off now! Getting the point of needing to walk away and calm down! 3rd fuse in from the left, wipers, washers, brake lights, radio etc just keeps blowing. I've unplugged radio, all the relays, wipers, both washers, rear demist, taken both brake light bulbs out, unplugged both rad fans and still it blows. It will blow as soon as I turen the ignition on to stage 1, its only started happening since I've taken the engine out this time round, I've not touched the wiring except replacing the fan cowling with slim lines, replacing some crimp connections with solder and heat schrink. Any one got ANY ideas at all? Cheers, Ali Thats only half of them
