Morning all, Does anyone know if the brake pipe union bolts are all the same size/type on the standard 1.6 piping with Bendix up front and Girling at the rear please? I reckon I need a load of these https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ate/193196 but just wanted to check here, just in case there's one or two outliers that I've missed. Cheers Ian.
davey205 posted a topic in Body, Interior & ICEAm after part numbers or anyone that can supply; 1 x the nut and bolt that secures the centre console into the radio compartment, ( I have 1 side but its sagging on one side atm ) 2 x screws that go under the steering cowling and secure the bottom cowling to top cowling ( I'm assuming these are very long screws ? ) Where the dummy choke is there supposed to be another screw or bolt ? I don't need the dummy choke just the bolt and nut or screw that secures it. Have had a look on service box but I see nothing so if anyone has these bits or could look up part numbers would be appreciated.
ian010778 posted a topic in XU Engine & Gearbox Service and Maintenance - ARCHIVEHi all, After reading a post on here about the hex bolt that holds the oil filler bracket onto the inlet manifold being a potential air leak I paid real close attention whilst putting my air pipes back on last night and think I may have unearthed a potential issue. Whilst putting my air pipes back I realised that (probably forever) I've been running the car with only the four mounting bolts that go through the main bracket and gasket on my AFM. I noticed there is a small extension of the AFM mounting bracket that runs underneath the AFM and should anchor it in the side with a fifth bolt but this part of the bracket had been bent out of the way and there's never been a bolt in this location. So, can anyone tell me what size bolt goes in here please - it looks as though it may be M 8 or even M 10 but I didn't have anything handy to try. Also, would having this hole open all these years have affected the performance/idling? Would it be similar to leaving the oil filler bracket hex bolt out of the inlet manifold, thus allowing un-metered air in or am I clutching at straws? Cheers in advance for any help. Ian.
