    As title really does anyone have any ideas, firstly my wife had the following while driving home, Car shuddered and "POPPED", surged and a plume of blue smoke came out of the exaust. switched off and then drove as normal for about 40 miles with planned 2 stops. Then i went out later and drove for about 15/20 miles when it briefly lost power then seemed to accellerate even with my foot off the throttle, stamped on the brakes which seemed to stop that. (no it does not have cruise control). the car then had the amber engine management light on for the last remaining 5 or so miles home. Shut off the engine and ignition, put ignition on again no warning lights attempted to start but turned over quite slowly so i gave up!!! Has anyone got any ideas before i take it into the garage? Any ideas greatfully received Roddie
