  1. Hello, I have 309 wishbones, 1.9 hubs, GTI6 engine on a slight tilt with a GTI6 gearbox that's about to be replaced with a Xsara VTS gearbox. Both driveshafts on the car are currently 205 1.9 GTI items with the LH passenger side shaft having a modified inner cup to fit the GTI6 box as it has the 306 diff. The replacement Xsara VTS box has the 205 diff so I was wondering if it was ok to replace the current LH 205 1.9 GTI passenger shaft (seeing as it's the side most find troublesome) with a LH 309 GTI driveshaft but leave the RH drivers side 205 1.9 shaft as is since historically it does not tend to give any issues? I've searched around and I can't find an answer to this specific query. Appreciate it if anyone can advise, cheers. PS - I'm going for AMK from a local factor that offered 309 1.9 GTI shafts for £10 less than 205 1.9 GTI items. Presumably I should double check the compressed length is 610mm?
