Wanted: Diesel Wiring Schematics Rpm Gauge To Sensor

Please help me find wiring schematics for a 205/309 turbo diesel from instrument cluster to rpm sensor in enginebay.

is it covered by haynes?

if not it should be same as a 306 td etc.

tdc sensor would be pin 3 earthed shield , pins 1 and 2 go to the tachometer, either way round should work but one way always works better than the other so fluctuating rpm should be cured from reversal. The tachometer will also have a power feed but from memory this is through the rest of the guages anyway so shouldnt be an issue.

Thx for the reply - sadly there are no diesel models in the haynes book :-(

 

Your theory about pin-layout seems highly plausible - but still if any do have a wiring scheme - please share it with me - thx in advance!

No, mate unfortunately not. Plus I cant read them well enough to tell you what you need to know.

 

Maybe Welshpug on here can get access to one.

 

 

I will say though, when I ordered mine I had it within 2 days, and they are worth having.
