Gearbox Shift Arms, How Are They Removed?

Recommended Posts

trialster

i'm trying to take the gear selector lever off the mi16 box, to change it for and 8v one.

can't seem to get it off, looks like a pin goes through to secure it, can this be removed? it looks like there are two layers to the pin, do i push one or both through? :S

hope somebody knows

ta!

Remove the roll pin but make sure the central part doesn't fall into the box!

Ho yes, they are an absolute bastard to get back out!

You can quickly stick a small screwdriver or something through the hole before you completely remove the arm.

7 mm pin punch and a hammer

They aren't too bad to get back out from my limited experience - just try not to leave it till it's in the car.
