Mi16 Bottom Pulleys: Are 8v Ones The Same?

Recommended Posts

Stu

Howdy all,

Im after a spare bottom pulley for the Mi, so i can mock up mounting the trigger wheel for the impending carbs and megajolt conversion.

Are 8v the same? If not, does anyone have an Mi pulley going cheap?

the 8v uses a solid pulley, the Mi uses one that bolts onto the belt sprocket with 4 M8 bolts.

Megajolt only uses ford edis components I take it?

Yeah thats right Mei, it requires the use of a 36-1 to fire the edis, unlike the megasquirt which can use the 60-2 already in situ as it uses this signal as a standalone input.

I forgot about the 4 bolts and seperate center bit on the pulley.. doh!

I need a pulley then..

Stu,

I also have a trigger wheel that is for sale, 36-1, just the right size for the bottom pulley.

cheers
