Gearbox Advise And One Needed

Hello i am after a 306 xsi gearbox

 

its a 16v 2.0

 

what i need to no are the 8v the same and what other gearboxs will fit many thanks

 

Would have a gti-6 one but mines a 5 speed many thanks

Any BE3 box fit's simple as that, As do the 6 speed boxes but you need a few other parts for that

just a bit unsure dont want to buy a 8v be3 off a 306 2.0 xsi 8v for it not to fit

 

i would have to change the drive shaft surely if i brought a 1.9 be3 box ??

8 or 16v it makes no differance, Only the early BE3's upto 1994 use a different diff so the N/S inner cup would need changing, Some use a self adjusting clutch so you may need to swap over the clutch arm and shaft too,
