Digital Car Radio

As we know, analogue TV is being bumped off and replaced with Digital TV, starting next year in the SouthWest.

I was wondering, is normal analogue radio being killed off as well starting next year?

Main reason why I ask is because the missus wants a new CD/Radio player for her car for Christmas. So if digital radio is needed, then I'll opt for one with a digital receiver.

Not until 2020 or something IIRC.

Unlike digital TV, digital radio never seems to have taken off, I had a in car DAB a few years ago, and to be frank, the stations were fairly poor.

That sounds like it won't be a problem for a while then.

This is very similar to what the TV ariel guy said to me only several months ago, as I was considering a DAB ariel for the home, so did not bother as our FM signal is fine, plus the digital channels through sky and our BT Vision.

You might as well buy a normal stereo, you can buy DAB box attatchments that will work

on all exsisting stereo's via plug etc.. :)
